Our Origin Story
It started in 2015 when Dave moved to Dale, Texas to open the Rally Ranch . He quickly realized he couldn't keep driving past the immense suffering. It began with one dog at the gate, then another.
The dog who started it all was Mondo - Dave was headed to the shelter to adopt, and wandered into the middle of the road and stopped traffic—a divine sign. Then came Frankie, Rita, Hobbs, Falcor, and Marge.
As the pack grew, so did the realization: This problem is bigger than one household.
A while later, Dave met Chrissy - fast forward a bit and they got married - and now just about everyone they have ever known has a Rally Rescue dog - all originating from the crisis surrounding Dale, TX.
The Rural Texas Crisis
The scale of the stray dog crisis in rural Texas is staggering. Neglect, abuse, and starvation are common, and government resources are failing.
When Chrissy joined the mission, Rally Rescue evolved from a personal passion into a community organization. We realized that neighbors wanted to help but didn't know how. They didn't have a plan when they saw a starving dog.
We are building that plan. We provide the temporary holds, the medical funding, and the transport networks so that saying "Yes" to saving a life becomes easy..
